Selling Your Books
Long Dash will list our authors' books for sale on our Web site. Authors set the list price for their books, and we pay them a 25 percent royalty on retail sales. Here are books we've made and are offering for sale for our authors on our Web site. To order, or for more information, send us an email.
For wider distribution, Long Dash has formed a working relationship with Mark Kohut, a longtime publishing executive who is launching a new venture aimed at helping our authors get their books listed online and through the distributors that serve bookstores across America. Under the plan, authors pay Mark $250 to get their books listed on Amazon and BarnesandNoble.com, and to be carried by the distributors serving bookstores. Anybody will be able to order your book from Amazon and BN.com, and anybody can walk into virtually any bookstore in the country and order your book. Mark also offers a marketing upgrade: for $400 he'll do the above distribution, plus he'll promote your book directly to booksellers and boost its appearances on search engines. In other words, if someone is searching Google for poetry, for example, he'll make sure your book is more likely to come up higher on the list. More more information, contact Mark directly.

If you have an ISBN and bar code on your book (which we can provide for you; see our Additional Services), you can list your book for sale yourself on Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, and other online bookstores. Check those sites for the various options on how to sell your book online.
